A consistent room temperature
A Convectair maintains the selected temperature without allowing major fluctuations. Thanks to the electronic thermostat, sensitive to within 1/10 °C (1/5 °F), the room’s occupants can go about their business for as long as they like, in a steadily warm environment without fiddling with the thermostat, oblivious to changes in the outside temperature.
Healthy air
Convectair natural convection heaters do not dry out the air in a room. Since they operate without a fan and the element never heats to red-hot, any particles that are naturally suspended in the air do not burn.
The result: the air stays healthy and the humidity rate remains balanced.
Peace and quiet
Are you looking for noiseless heating? Whether the model you choose has the X-shaped convection element or a radiant heating surface, Convectair's convection and radiant heaters are designed to work in total silence. You won’t have to put up with the crackling of distorted metal, the bursts of noise caused by sudden temperature changes, the droning fan of a central-air system, or the sizzling of a dusty element.

FOR THE EFFICIENCY |

Natural convection
For even heat distribution
Natural convection operates on a key principle of physics: hot air rises and cold air falls. When cold air at floor level comes into contact with the X-shaped monoblock heating element, it becomes warm. This element offers exceptional heat conductivity. Each Convectair using natural convection heating therefore transfers as much heat possible to the greatest volume of air.
Thanks to a chimney effect, this warm air rises and is projected through the slanted grille slats toward the centre of the room. Air from the entire room follows in a completely silent, gentle flow. The result is a stable, even temperature. Equipped with precise electronic thermostats, natural convection heaters are the solution of choice for rooms where constant, even comfort is required.
Radiant heat
For palpable heat
Radiant units directly heat bodies and objects, producing a caressing warmth similar to the feel of the sun's rays. They create a comforting hot spot, yet evenly distribute heat at the same time. Some radiant units are made for bathrooms while others are ideal in living areas. Gentle radiant heaters are preferred by those who seek an extra “warm comfort”.
Fan-forced heat
Power on demand
Fan-forced models are generally smaller and heat quickly by means of a stronger airflow. The low-thermal-mass heating element directs all the power into a small space. The heat from the element is directly transferred to the fan-driven air. Activated by a timer, these fan units supply heat only when you truly need it or request it.
Programming savings
Keeping pace with the household
The only fluctuations allowed are the ones you program to match your household’s pace. By programming a heating schedule for each room, you can save considerable energy. Regularly lowering the temperature by 4 °C over a period of four or more hours can save 15% in heating costs, so every single heating period can make a difference. Temperature setbacks can take place when the house is empty or during the night, when a cooler temperature makes for a good night’s sleep.
An example of good programming
During the night, the temperature throughout the house is 16°C. At the planned wake-up hour, the program implements a scheduled 4 °C increase in all the rooms connected to the programmer. When everyone leaves for school or work, the same Convectairs slow down, and the temperature drops by 4 °C again. Half an hour before the first key turns in the lock at the end of the day, the heating rises once more.
To divide a house into several zones that follow different heating schedules, you simply need a programmer per zone: one for the bedrooms, and another for the living areas, for example. At Convectair, we want you to be comfortable without wasting energy.
An instant connection at 120V
Some models are
designed to be plugged directly into a regular 120V home socket. These units are suitable for heating an apartment where you’re not planning to stay for the long term. They also make easy-to-install backup heaters for a cottage, or for rounding out another heating system.
A balanced heating plan
when you purchase or install a heater in a home, you should establish a heat distribution plan to evaluate the heating requirement of each room or area of the home. Installing heat sources at several strategic points prevents the overheating of one single unit as it tries to keep up with demand for the whole room. When the heaters are placed at the right spots around the room, the result is maximum comfort and complete safety.

Powerful, immediate heat
The bathroom is the one room where a lot of heat is needed for a short time only. That's why all our models for the bathroom—Bolero, Diva, Jazz, Samba, Calypso and Soprano—are equipped with a powerful fan that can heat up the room almost instantly.
Intelligent heaters
Convectairs for the bathroom are designed to withstand splashes. The bigger models feature a control panel that is easy to access but safely out of children’s reach. The smaller units and the convection heaters have a panel that can be made tamper-proof. And all the fans (except the one of the Soprano) operate on a timer, so that the heater can’t be left on by mistake.
